As a cat lover, I've come up with many reasons on why cats are better than dogs. Here are my top 10.
As a cat lover, I've come up with many reasons on why cats are better than dogs. Here are my top 10.
Cats are super easy to take care of- you don't need to take them on walks four times a day. You don't need to wash or groom them, they do it by themselves! Cats are very independent creatures.
Nobody likes to wake up to a morning where you're tired and you can't get anything done. With a dog- you'd be up all night trying to calm your dog. Dogs like to be outside! So when you force them to stay inside... it'll get pretty noisy. Not only will your dog wake you, but all your neighbours too. Cats, on the other hand, are very quiet. Not once in the two years of having a cat have I woken up to the sound of a meow.
You can live in an apartment and still have a cat! They're small and can live anywhere you can live. Dogs, on the other hand, can sometimes need more space than you need.
Cat's aren't anything compared to the prices you'll need to pay for a dog. For a dog, you'll need a big house, with a big backyard. That's already a million dollars! But as I said before, cats can live in small apartments.
Dog bites are painful! Not to mention that they can full-on attack you! A cat scratch or bite doesn't hurt a bit. They might be a little annoying, but they're better than a broken arm.
The average cat lives to about 16 years! You'll have your furry friend for a while. But dogs, they only live for an average 9 years.
Okay, maybe not literally, but they're very strong. A cat once survived a fall off of a the top floor on a 32-Story building! The cat was fine- except for a broken leg. I'd like to see a dog try that.
Cats purr! It's amazing! Dog's don't.
Cats love a good sleep in your lap. Most dogs are way too big for this!
Cats calm you down, they reduce stress and anxiety. It's always nice to have a cat by your side. But on the other hand, dogs bring that up. You'll be worrying about your dog all the time! Did someone walk the dog? What happens if the dogs needs to go to the bathroom in the middle of the night? Will my dog wreck the house while I'm gone?
If you loose your cat- there's a good chance they'll come running back to you. I bet you've seen at least one news article about a owner being re-united with their cat after 8-12 years. Yes- that's true- even if it's been 12 years since your cat went missing- there's a good chance you'll still see them again. Cats have an amazing memory.
The University of Minnesota said that cats can reduce the chance of you dying of a heart attack by 40% after they did a study. So- get a cat if you want to stay alive!
That's all we've got for now! Stay tuned for more news, coming soon.
