You probably know that lions, tigers and leopards are related to cats... but did you know that these three animals are related to cats too?

#3: Moongoose
A mongoose and a cat are related, and they share some of the things that make them unique. They are very good hunters, and their body shape is quite similar. They like to sleep curled up- or completely stretched out- just like cats!
Did you know that a mongoose is actually more closely related to a cat than a weasel?
#2: Meerkat
Well, I mean, 'kat', is in the name, so what would you expect?
Meerkats are closely related to Mongooses as well, and as you read above, a mongoose is related to a cat too. Meerkats sometimes like to live underground. Seems like these kitties don't enjoy the sunlight as much!
#1: Hyena
There are two things you might be thinking- one- a hyena isn't related to a cat! It's related to a dog! or two- hyena's aren't a dog or cat.
Well, it turns out that hyenas are actually more closely related to cats than they are to dogs. But some might say it's a mix of both!
